EUGENE J. GEEKIE, JR. is a partner at Schiff Hardin LLP, Chicago, Illinois, where he concentrates in creditors' rights and general commercial litigation, workouts and business reorganizations, bankruptcy litigation, and real estate/foreclosure litigation, representing asset-based lenders and banks in the enforcement of security agreements and guarantees. He also has represented lenders and borrowers in loan workouts and business reorganizations, with extensive experience in successfully defending lenders and other creditors in bankruptcy litigation, as well as representing options and commodities organizations on insolvency issues. Mr. Geekie is a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of bankruptcy topics. He received his law degree from St. Louis University School of Law (cum laude, 1986), where he was Editor of the Saint Louis University Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Missouri, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, and numerous U.S. Courts of Appeal and District Courts.
